Determine the injection molding machine mold material and select standard parts

When selecting the injection molding machine mold material, in addition to considering the accuracy and quality of the product, it is also necessary to combine the actual processing and heating treatment capabilities of the mold factory to make the right choice. In addition, in order to shorten the manufacturing cycle, existing standard parts should be used as much as possible.

 

Injection molding machine parts processing and mold assembly:

In addition to giving the best structure and reasonable tolerance matching during design, the accuracy of injection molding machine molds is crucial to parts processing and mold assembly. Therefore, the choice of processing accuracy and processing method plays an absolute leading role in the manufacturing of injection molding machine molds.

 

In order to reduce the manufacturing error of injection molding machine molds, the processing accuracy of molds should be improved first. In order to solve the errors caused by uneven shrinkage of molded parts and the inconsistency between the expected shrinkage and the actual shrinkage, 1/3 of the product tolerance is generally selected as the manufacturing tolerance of the injection molding machine mold during mold manufacturing. The purpose is to leave a large adjustment space for the subsequent molding process to solve the errors caused by the molding process.

 

Mold Trial

From design to assembly, a mold trial only completes 70%-80% of the entire manufacturing process. The error caused by the inconsistency between the expected shrinkage and the actual shrinkage, the smoothness of demoulding, the cooling effect, and especially the impact of the gate size, position, and shape on the product precision and appearance must be tested through mold trials. Therefore, mold trial is an indispensable step to test whether the injection molding machine mold is qualified and to select the best molding process.
